Sort it out.
The last thing I had ever wanted, was to get involved.
Almost two weeks away, and I returned with 260+ emails sitting in my inbox, and plenty of juicy gossip to keep me blearily awake from the jetlag and lack of sleep.
I wonder why the words meritocracy and transparency were not present in their dictionary. Had the pages containing those two words been mercilessly torn off with a resounding shriek? Were they inadvertently left out, and the omission quietly unchecked during the proofreading process? Worse still, had someone already come across the non-existence of both words but pointedly chose to do nothing about it?
Tongues are wagging, swords are crossed. Power absolutely corrupts, and with it, the hearts, minds and souls poisoned to a fault not for the fainthearted.
It does not matter whether you had dipped your hands into it on purpose – the stink of it will end up on you anyway. Ah, office politics. It is certainly not for everyone, and especially so not for me.
I shall patiently wait for the dust to settle down and secretly contemplate my next move.
…
Photos of my recent travels are now made available here. I hope to be able to give a more detailed account of the trip sometime soon.
