Baked noodles.

Oh, bloody hell. I cannot believe that I have completely forgotten that this year marks the tenth year of the green code.

It has brought me a lot of possibilities. In return, I will have to revisit memories long past and rekindle lost relationships. A movie marathon to come next week, hopefully.

Three days and seven tweets later, this did not seem all too exciting after all.

  1. Can you actually bake noodles?

  2. ShomT – According to the Matrix’s Oracle, yes you can. :D

(As for me, I’m hopeless with anything to do with pots and pans.)

  3. Wow I’d like to try it some time! Were there more elaborate instructions on how it could be done? (Do we have to boil the noodles first and bake it, and in what manner should it be served etc)
Though .. unfortunately I don’t have an oven here.

  5. ShomT – Well, actually what the Oracle said was this: “What’s really going to bake your noodle later on is, would you still have broken it if I hadn’t said anything?” This was when Neo was visiting the Oracle at her apartment and he had swung around and accidentally broke her vase.

The Oracle didn’t bake any noodles in the movie, but she did made cookies and eat red-coloured candies, though… (sorry, heh – I can tell you’re really enthusiastic about cooking and stuff!)

Tim Frost – Heh, thanks – that’d be something for Shom to try out – she loves cooking!

  6. Hehe! Thanks Tim for the recipe! I will definitely give it a shot when I finally get myself a home with a decent kitchen with a nice oven (god knows when though!)

Strizzt, yeah I do remember the scene well in the Matrix (not the lines though, how do you people manage that?? amazed). That was one of the particularly intriguing scenes – I loved the colour scheme of the kitchen (yellows, reds, blues, greens – very err mediterranean?) And the oracle’s cookies did make me go ‘yum…..!!’.

  7. ShomT – Yeah, I must admit that I too was equally amazed at still being able to churn out a quote from ten years ago. :P (A small price to pay for being a matrixholic.)

The meeting with the Oracle is a pretty intriguing scene, yes – and there’s plenty of mystery about this figure that we don’t know about.

PS: Would like to pay a visit to your dream kitchen one day, too!
