Yes, it really does sound exciting and all; but the thought of becoming an ambassador who visits two countries within a year is indeed rather daunting – especially to one who frequently wishes for the possession of strong teleportation skills, bears an extreme dislike for the smell of aeroplanes, and generally gets awfully sick onboard the flying machines.

Ginger tea and motion sickness pills barely help, so there is going to be a huge sigh of relief when all this is over in six months’ time – in fact, that is plenty of time to agonise over it, really.

But it also means there will be something to look forward to – the end of the beginning of the middle.
