Back in uni now.. and tomorrow's...

Back in uni now.. and tomorrow’s a Monday. Don’t we all just hate Mondays? It’s the start of a week, the start of boring ol’ work and school, the start of a monotonous and boring routine which pretty much everyone in this world has to go through, no matter who you are. Both my roommate and I don’t really seem to trust in using an extension cord (with four outlets) on both computers.. so I get to use my computer now because she went out for dinner with her friends.

Just had a Filet O Fish from McDonalds for dinner. There’s a variety of fast food restaurants available here in Malaysia – all the same, I can’t help but wish there’s more, just so we can have a go at stuff from Hungry Jack’s or Taco Bell. Hm.. what do we have here? McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, Domino’s Pizza – which can be pretty much found wherever you go, whichever country you set foot on. But then again, the menu is different in other countries – not to mention the ‘free’ gifts that come along with it too. I remember they had those free giveaways or toys for sale – of those Winnie the Pooh, Sesame Street, and Hello Kitty characters, which everyone scrambled to buy and collect – to the extent of breaking glass windows, and some passing out in crowds due to lack of oxygen.

I was not caught up in the hype, of course.. :P although I did get a few of the stuff. My Ernie and Oscar The Grouch beanies must be stuffed in some dark corner back at home. The pair of Hello Kitty toys are on top of the now-rarely-used piano shakes her head. Winnie the Pooh in a white bunny suit (hee) should be stuck somewhere with the Sesame Street characters – possibly with the Cookie Monster.

I guess I’m kind of a big fan of McDonalds.. when I was younger, I always tore out those coupons from the fast-food restaurant’s self-produced calendars and exchanged them for goodies.. miniature McDonalds characters figurines and lovely sundaes. I never really gave a damn for the other fast-food restaurants – I’ve never found them appealing. I’ve practically grown up with McDonalds. Does anyone still remember White Castle? I wonder where did it go..

Heck, don’t get me wrong – I’m not a voluntary promotion person for McDonalds.
