The big fish eat the little ones.

I saw the cat lying right beside the tree. At first glance it may looked as if it were dozing off on another Thursday morning, but it looked simply too dead to be sleeping. Perhaps, it is dead.

There were flies buzzing all over it when I walked back after class, about two hours later.

Today, I can just barely make out a figure of the animal half buried in the soil and turned to grey.

The next thing that came into my mind was a brief vision of everyone else dead, and yes – including myself.

Maybe that one day would not be too far away, hm?
