Rantglass - because that's how things are.

It is not a choice. It is a way of life.

It is not a choice. It is a way of life.

I put on my new shoes, and felt as though I was walking on air. Today was the first time ever I had to show my identification card to get into the cinema. The film was rated 18SG, and the attendant was being unusually friendly and chatty. I entered, and was surprised to note that the seats had been changed to a bright blue instead of the murky red as it had been six months ago, and with ample leg room as well – or it could probably be just the trick of the mind, due to the euphoric emotions that have been held within me for so long.

Well, the last movie I watched at the cinema was Matrix Reloaded. We waited four years for that. But the six months we spent waiting for the third movie had somehow seemed longer than that.

I have watched Matrix Revolutions today. I can barely contain my ecstasy even now, as I type this, four hours later. It was as though an impossible task has been accomplished with much success and triumph. I still believe that it is not merely a desire; but some sort of a need, a necessity, for me to watch all three movies. Heck, it took me a long time to drift off to dreamland yesterday – oh, the anticipation!

There were some scenes that were quite predictable (I even muttered a ‘shit’ before Neo did); and there were others that I wished could have been longer, and more explored. The later part of the movie had me fastened to my seat though, because I have always been a sucker for action scenes. Some questions still remain unanswered, but I do not mind, because that is the way how the Wachowskis work – they like to play with our minds. Think, imagine, ponder, fantasise, believe. Besides, the movie has undeniably reinforced my craving for a Sentinel and an APU. Truly a magnificent ending, indeed.

It has been one helluva ride. There will definitely be another trip to the cinema soon for a second viewing. Keep in mind that Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions is actually one whole movie, and you will certainly appreciate and value it more.

I know that I did. Now, it is time to indulge in the noodle-baking sessions. That, is inevitable.
