Rantglass - because that's how things are.

Come anew.

So every once in a while, you take out one of your favourite CDs, put it on to play with the same sort of apprehension you would have had, had it had the words “EJECT SEAT” blinking urgently on it, and attempt to transport yourself back to that one moment in time when you thought you had the whole world at your fingertips – a time when you would diligently make the bed and change the sheets, happily dream of making snow angels in a faraway land, and absolutely did not believe in splitting headaches and heartless heartbreaks.

And more often than not, it fails.

A pitchfork may have been nothing more than a mere gardening tool back then; we were younger, leaner and greener than the grass on any other side ever known, easily pleased and sealed with a kiss – but no other second in time can ever make us feel that same way again.

(Heck, even re-reading my archives here gave me the creeps – how was I to know that I was once that naive?)
