We've got a memory.
There is no reason to be bouncing off the walls just yet. Amid the groaning tables of food and seemingly endless episodes of excessive feasting, lie the dark sides to each and every one of us: the veiled desires, secret dreams and unspoken truths that lay hidden in between.
And so it is, we end up going through the motions just like we do every other year. They are not quite new beginnings and proper restarts – these are, after all, yearly calendars of our own making – but they do act as catalyst enough for us to do so. Here is an excuse for us to do a thorough spring cleaning and finally get rid of those sticky spiderwebs in all four corners of the house; maybe an urge to act all goody-two-shoes for the final week of the year at least, lest Santa and his merry band of elves decide to skip past your chimney; and perhaps a reason to make ten new resolutions you thought you can keep and yet conveniently forget all about them until the next year comes along.
Sometimes the best-laid plans may not come to pass; you either get derailed like a train bumpily jumping off the tracks, or breeze through it triumphantly like the champion that you are meant to be. Yes – it could be pure and absolute destiny, or it could all unravel with sheer lunacy. I am not sure exactly what I may achieve, but for now trying is all I can give.
