Keep it upstairs.
A trip to the island nation down south never fails to impress me. The abundant lush greenery that stretches on as far as the eye can see; extraordinary service rendered by staff at various levels of establishments; quality novelty of blending the distinctly modern with old times past; unprecedented seamlessness and convenience of public transportation made available; and the currency and rich array of choices proudly offered to anyone at anytime – these all present a multitude of possibilities for one hungry at a big new slice of life, after a near lifetime of disappointment and disillusion.
The only things missing are perpetual blue skies, and that one golden opportunity to make things happen.
Again, this time is no different – but now that I find myself increasingly warming up to the idea of living away from home, I am afraid of what it actually means.
Perhaps this is just a phase…
