Rantglass - because that's how things are.

Out of my mind.

It has been a long time coming, but I think I can finally make a declaration of considerably epic proportions: that I have, rather unequivocally, fallen in love with an unassuming rock star.

I do not understand why they are the biggest band that no one has ever heard of. His fellow bandmate, Mr Dessner, did mention that they do not have casual fans – “it’s an obsessive, cult audience” – and now, I am inclined to agree with that statement.

For the past two days, I have stubbornly listened to the same song over a hundred times, shamelessly pored over pictures of his dorky self available online, gleefully laughed at his comical antics and dry wit, and promptly melted at the bittersweet melancholia of his baritone.

So it seems that I have reached a pinnacle unreached by many, and I am well and painfully aware that the only way to go from thereon is down.

Unicorn tears. I wonder what comes next.

(Sigh. Mr Berninger, please come soon.)
